How To Air Fry Squash And Zucchini
Air Fryer Zucchini and Yellow Squash is a great vegetable side dish that cooks up perfectly in the Air Fryer. It'south a dandy way to get your veggies for the mean solar day, and they're ready in under thirty minutes. Mom would approve!
Oh human being, yellow squash has got to be my favorite summer vegetable.
Unless you count watermelon as a vegetable, which it isn't.
Or if y'all count yellow squash as a fruit, which it technically is!
But I digress.
The yellowish squash is a favorite of mine because I like the softer texture and the milder flavor.
You can really play with the flavor of yellow squash by adding more spices, but I feel like it'due south a true classic southern dish when cooked with but a little butter or oil, table salt, pepper, and maybe some onion.
Today, I paired the yellow squash with some zucchini because that's what I had on mitt, but you lot tin certainly add together other vegetables to this recipe.

Key to Success #i – Cut the Veggies Uniformly
When cooking zucchini and yellow squash in the Air Fryer, it's important to piece the vegetables into evenly sized pieces.
This will allow them to cook more evenly in the Air Fryer.
An even melt time means that all the vegetables will be prepare at nigh the same time.
I prefer to cutting my squash into half moons that are about a half-inch thick when I'grand cooking them in the Air Fryer.
If I'1000 going to saute them in a skillet, I prefer to slice them into thin coins.
I just remember they hold up better in the Air Fryer if they are a piffling thicker.
Key to Success #2 – Add together a Bit of Olive Oil
A little oil goes a long style when you lot're air frying vegetables.
Adding a little oil will go along the vegetables from sticking to ane another or to the handbasket.
And it'll also add some flavor to your dish.
All you need is 2-3 teaspoons of olive oil. I use a non-aerosol spray bottle to distribute my oil evenly.
I do not recommend using a commercial cooking spray because it tends to leave a movie on the Air Fryer basket that is hard to get off.
Key to Success #three – Milk shake Shake Shake
While you're cooking the squash and zucchini in your Air Fryer, it's important to shake the handbasket frequently to go along the vegetables cooking evenly.
If you lot don't shake the handbasket often enough, yous'll get some squash that is cooked more than than others.
Just pull the handbasket out a bit and give it a good, difficult milk shake.
This is some other reason I like to cut the vegetables into sturdy half-moons.
They hold upward much better when shaken.
I milk shake the basket about every x minutes.
You can shake it more often than that if you'd adopt.
